'Simply Perfect' is how our first guests described their experience at La Casa de Rosario. We are committed to ensuring it remains so for all our guests. We have been hosts for over ten years and have both enjoyed and appreciated a very high satisfaction rate. The condo, building and location have been consistently rated as excellent with over sixty five star reviews.
Centrally located on Madera beach, Casa Rosario was fully renovated and updated, newly furnished and freshly decorated in 2014. It has been carefully maintained ever since by our property manager and her staff.
The building has a Security guard on site for twenty four hours and a secure gated entrance.
The condo has a secure ground level entrance and an elevated, panoramic view of the beach, ocean and pool (one flight down from the unit). It has two bedrooms with king and queen sized beds, respectively, each with an ocean view. Each bedroom is fully contained, private and comfortable with an air conditioner that is rarely needed, but always available, plus ceiling fans.
In addition to its window opening on the bay, the second bedroom has double french doors that can be opened to the front part of the living area and offer a view of the bay beyond, giving the room added airiness and expanding the living area. The living / dining area is spacious and wide open to the ocean. The condo is 1100 square feet overall.
Originally designed in the classic Mexican style, the condo is clean, bright and airy. The sea breeze and silent ceiling fans constantly freshen the living space which offers a hammock and lounge chairs, dining table, a comfortable banquette and wonderful day bed facing the water. There is a 3 piece bathroom (with shower).
It has a full kitchen with cooking utensils, cutlery, dish ware and cookware plus a microwave, four burner gas cook-top, coffee maker, toaster, air fryer, convection oven and an electric barbecue.
There is a flat screen TV with cable in the main bedroom, wireless high-speed internet and a private telephone line. All local landline calls are included in the rental which also includes weekly cleaning services, or as needed, plus bed linens, towels and purified water.
Location and accessibility define the uniqueness of this property. A 15 minute walk east is La Ropa beach, and a 10 minute walk west along the seawall brings you to the townsite with daily fish and produce markets, restaurant boardwalk, shops, cafes and bars. Two full groceries / clothing / liquor and household supplies stores are a 25 minute walk north or a short cab ride away.
The property is surrounded by a host of dining spots ranging from traditional Mexican to international cuisine. Half a block north is a street with several good restaurants. A few steps east from our building is a small grocery store which is a handy source for basic items. Across the road from the store is the Aura Del Mar hotel – once a lavish hacienda – which has a lovely patio bar overlooking the bay and ocean beyond. It features a 5:00 pm happy hour. To the left of the property, a gentle flight of stairs takes you to the beach where you will find a drink or snack at Rosita, a palapa café. A few steps further on you will find the Maderas and Bistro del Mar restaurants. They each offer fine dining and excellent service in charming open-air settings at the water’s edge.
Massages are available on the beach. Fishing trips and water tours are readily available at or near the pier.
